A gaze upon the moon

I knew I had to be outside once I saw the Moon rising…

In awe… I

I wonder how something so magnificent could appear so little, yet mesmerizing…

The Moon shines

like a light bulb on the lake

Glittering reflection of a golden carpet

Beneath it, countless life swim under the water still…

And still, at times we (humans) forget tomorrow carries itself…

As I watch the moon I realize, unlike the Moon which only appears to be little, I am. Yet like the moon I too am marvelous… Wonderfully made…

The soft wind breeze brushing my chins… The air coming out of my lungs and a heart that beats attest to it.

Gazing upon the moon rising… A reminder to stand still and listen…

Life is so much bigger… to look within and be better… take a glimpse outside myself and be humble.

I knew I had to be outside once I saw the Moon rising… This fire line is by a poet who encouraged me to write the rest of the poem. Thank you!
